What is Clean Truck Check?
Clean Truck Check (HD I/M) is a California regulation that requires periodic emissions-control testing on nearly all diesel and alternative-fuel heavy-duty vehicles with a GVWR over 14,000 lbs operating on California public roads.
Which vehicles do you service?
Motorcoaches, transit/shuttle/school buses, commercial trucks, and California-registered motorhomes, all with a GVWR over 14,000 lbs. We work with single-vehicle fleets and large fleets alike.
Does it matter where my vehicle is registered?
No. The regulation applies to any covered vehicle operating on California public roads, regardless of where it's registered. The only exception is motorhomes, where only California-registered ones are covered.
How long does a test take?
The OBD-based HD I/M test itself takes only a few minutes per vehicle. Most fleet visits finish in under an hour depending on how many vehicles we're testing.
Do I have to bring my trucks anywhere?
No, that's the whole point of our service. We drive to wherever your trucks are parked, anywhere in Southern California.
Do you do nights and weekends?
Yes. Appointments are available 24/7, and we work around your operation.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on your fleet size and location. Request a quote through the form on our Schedule page, or give us a call and we'll walk you through it.
Do I need to submit anything to CARB?
No. We submit test results directly to CARB on your behalf and give you documentation for your records.
